Poem how to survive in 2009
The number eight maybe lucky for some,
But if 2008 is a sign of things to come
2009 may turn out to be a real maelstrom
Who will be the winner of this game of zero sum?
The ones who know how to approach the conundrum
You may find the following tips to be a good serum.
Take control of your own destiny
You decide to see the glass half full or half empty
No matter how bad things seem to be
I know someone is worst off than me
Remember that you reap what you sow
Be happy rather than wallow in sorrow.
Strike while the iron is hot
Opportunity seldom knocks twice
And remember he who hesitate is lost
So seize the moment no matter the cost
You will find it was the right price
Even if at first it seems a lot
Practice what you preach
He who is the master of himself
Will soon be the master of others
Have faith, it is within your reach
You just need to believe in yourself
It is all that really matters
You are never too old to learn
So keep your mouth shut and ears open
You will find others starting to yearn
For your capability to listen
And open up to you like a flower
Following a spring shower
Remember that two heads are better than one
So if you have a problem share it with someone
And if at first you don’t succeed
Try again I’m sure you’ll get what you need
Because tomorrow is another day
And an opportunity to learn in every way
It is far better to trust and be disappointed in a person
Than not to trust and be disappointed in life
So open up your heart and don’t give in to reason
You will soon find opportunities are rife
To infect someone with a smile
So they can go the extra mile
For those of us who have to roam
You will know that there’s no place like home
It’s “love” that makes the world go round
So even if your stocks are down
Remember that the best things in life are free
So go ahead and enjoy your time with your family
No matter what you undertake in 2009
I’m sure things will work out fine
Because where there’s a will there’s a way
So don’t let anything or anyone get in your way
You can make a difference
In this new world of turbulence

You may be far from sight but you are still close to my heart. It is with anticipation that I waited for your X-mas card again this year (I secretly crossed my fingers and hoped you hadn't crossed me off your list) I really liked it and already saved it with all my other Rieley originals!
I will think about future questions and let you know.
Be good my friend!
hopebubble is an opportunity for all of us to be able to share our concerns about whether we will be able to achieve our hopes and dreams. With so many things in our lives seemingly beyond the scope of our control, being able to share our beliefs, our hopes, and our dreams is truly important. I encourage you to respond to the questions every two weeks, as well as encourage your friends, family, and colleagues to do the same.
Each time a new set of questions are posted, the collected results from the previous questions will be posted so you can see how others feel about the people and events that are taking us into the future.
Thanks for participating...
